CAD Programming Specialist

Department: Madison Production
Location: Madison, GA

Job Purpose:

Provide custom programs from AutoCAD drawings. Ensure programming is delivered in a timely and efficient manner, standards are maintained, and necessary processes are implemented and followed. Interface with Customer Service to ensure quality of drawings and customer specifications are met. Provide support to the Cutting Room and deliver work that is accurate and of good quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the specifications are correct and quality of drawings is acceptable from Customer Service.
  • Coordinate programming and materials by working with planning and scheduling departments.
  • Monitor CAD programming activities to eliminate delays.
  • Ensure delivery of CAD programs adheres to production and shipping schedules.
  • Ensure CAD quality and production specifications are met.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures and respond to employee issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high level of communication with all internal customers.
  • Recommend improvements in CAD methods, operating procedures, and working conditions.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Programming and AutoCAD experience
  • CAM/G-code experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills, SAP experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of cutting table operations
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail, efficiency, accuracy, and understanding of design elements.
  • Good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while consistently maintaining established workflow procedures
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools (AutoCAD), and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
