Summary
Responsible for completing the rubber mixing process by mixing the batch on a mill by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Responsible for performing quality control checks of mixed batch
? Will need to read and understand a schedule while using a computer interface to record production
? Will perform rubber “cut-downs”; this is to cut the material off of the mill and re-feed on to the mill
? Will feed small pieces of the batch to QC equipment and perform quality checks
? Rotate between Minor Add Compounding, Color Compounding, Banbury Mixing, and Drop Mill Operating
? Overtime is/may be required.
? Other duties as assigned.

General Tasks required of all associates
? Operator must understand and follow 5S and good housekeeping in their respective areas
? Must adhere to all safety policies within Mannington, The Rubber Plant and specific to job being preformed
? Operators will Clean their equipment throughout the shift and at shutdowns
Language Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
