Sales Support Specialist

Department: Calhoun Commercial Admin
Location: Calhoun , GA

I am expected to contribute to our mission statement: to be the best people to do business with in the flooring industry.

Summary Responsible for providing exceptional customer service designed to help drive sales, and increase customer retention by performing the following duties:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop key relationships with internal and external partners
  • Forge high level relationships with Sales force in the Americas
  • Generate reports as needed from the appropriate source.
  • Maintain Database and Process Monthly Reporting for Mannington Advantage Elite Program
    • Rebates (will be sent to Finance for Review & Payment Processing)
    • Rewards
      • Maintain Product/SKU, Customer database files for the Rewards Program
      • Process reporting for Rewards Program and attend to validation of transactions (including addressing any errors)
    • Maintain SFDC Customer Identification
    • Work with Sales Analyst to develop reporting needed for program tracking
  • Expansive knowledge on product specifications, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Maintain organized database of documents, etc.
  • Participate in and contribute to onboarding presentations for Sales New Hires re: Sales Operations
  • Assist with scheduling CEUs (Continuing Education Units – provided by Marketing but scheduled and recorded by Sales Support)
  • Assist sales associates with product comparisons, coordinates/matches, field general product inquiries and other requests as necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining Sales Hub portal information
    • Schedule and operate Sales Hub calls
  • Assist in T&E approvals
    • Monitor sales associate T&E submittals for adherence to published T&E Policy
  • Period end T&E reporting for RSDs
  • Distribute period end financial reporting to RSDs, as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Knowledge of the commercial flooring line of products
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a flooring business or other similar commercial sales industry
  • Foreign language skills a plus.
  • Travel required to other Mannington Mills locations as necessary within Georgia

Language Skills

Must be able to communicate with management, sales force, and customers. Must have excellent telephone etiquette.

Must be professional in all communications.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), Outlook, ERP and/or CRM Systems: Salesforce.com, and SAP.
