Twisting Fixer - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Department: Calhoun Carpet Manufacturing
Location: Calhoun , GA

2nd Shift

3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

3rd shift

11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Position Summary
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on cabling twisters.


Essential Functions
• Perform duties in a safe manner utilizing all required personal protection equipment.

• Perform job in an efficient manner in order to meet our goals.
• Be present and on time on scheduled workdays for the purpose of maintaining excellent customer service

Position Responsibilities
• Patrol job consistently, making repairs, performing preventive maintenance and monitoring package build and twist level
• Fill out pm checklist completely
• Set up twisters for lot changes, count changes and samples
• Check twist level with strobe light
• Check twisters for oil and air leaks, repair as needed
• Check pre take up rolls, remove laps and change damaged rolls
• Change drive belt as needed
• Change drive pulley according to specifications
• Check thread guides, replace as needed
• Check tension settings
• Repair or change yarn conveyor belt as needed
• Check couplings, friction rolls, spindle tapes and cradles, replace worn or missing parts
